Flower Care:
Give them a deep cut at an angle, and place in fresh water away from the sun. Hydrangeas are WATER LOVERS, so it is best to fill buckets over half full. If using in floral foam, it's best to place your hydrangeas in the day of the event and dip cut stems in Alum before placing in foam. Alum is a preservative sold in the spice section at most grocery stores.
The Good: Size, size, size! Hydrangeas take up so much space and are a must-have for large arrangements. They also have a long vase life and can be pretty hardy.
The Bad: The water factor and they do not like extreme heat. Hydrangeas need a good water source, so although they are often used in bouquets, they need to be placed back into water when not being held. They are often used in foam work, but wet foam doesn't supply enough hydration for long periods of time. Therefore, it's best to place the hydrangeas in the foam the day of the event and use Alum (see care instructions).

Petal Icon reserves the right to make changes or substitutions. All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine. For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off crop), incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a function, we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price point.
